Shaping the New Waterbird Conservation Plan of the Americas
About the Roundtable
Sara Schweitzer and Ruth Boettcher will co-host the Shaping the New Waterbird Conservation Plan of the Americas roundtable that will be held on November 4th, Wednesday, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM EST in the Crystal Room.
The Purpose of this Roundtable is to discuss and initiate an approach for producing the next version of the 2002 North American Waterbird Conservation Plan. The title of the new version is Waterbird Conservation Plan of the Americas (WCPA), and its geographic scope will encompass the Caribbean and North, Central, and South American countries. This effort will require a wide range of participants throughout the Americas and Caribbean willing to commit to this important and challenging undertaking. That is why WE NEED YOUR HELP! We promise to make this informal gathering fun as well as informative.

To help us be as efficient as possible, we plan to send out materials one week before the roundtable to provide you with some background and context. We also need a little bit of information from you to help us organize the roundtable.
