Annual Meetings The Waterbird Society annual meeting is the major event for members to present findings and hear what scientists from around the world have found out about waterbirds. Our meetings typically draw about 200 participants who report the results of research and management of waterbirds. Meetings are usually held in North America but we have also met in France, Italy, and Brazil. The Society occasionally holds and publishes special symposia on specific aspects of their behavior, ecology, and conservation of waterbirds. From time to time, the Society holds a combined meeting with other organizations that share mutual interests. |
